My hourly employees have compensation amounts imported into Guideline that are incorrect. Why is this and do I need to do anything?

For hourly employees, our system looks at their hourly rate and annualizes it based on a 40-hour work week. If they work less than full-time throughout the year, we overestimate their salary so that we can be conservative in providing estimates to our Plan Sponsors. 

It’s up to you whether you want to have the compensation figures changed in the system. We use the salary estimates as projections in the participant dashboards; however we’d be happy to update the compensation to reflect something closer to their actual annual salary if you’d like to provide those compensation numbers to us for the affected employees.
